The Bible shows us we can be positive about going to heaven when we die, would you like to see what it says?
There are two conditions that everyone who goes to heaven must meet; be sure to find out what they are!
1.The first step is to find out what road you are on.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
You must realize you are a sinner.
2.You need to know where that road is going to take you.
Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake, which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
This is bad news, but if you don’t understand you are going the wrong way you can not change direction.
As hard as you might try you can’t work or find your own way to Heaven.
Eph.2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
3.Getting on the right road to Heaven isn’t automatic it is a gift that has to be taken to become yours.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Jesus came, and lived a perfect life, and died upon the cross, so He could buy your salvation with His sinless blood. He offers this salvation to you, but He will not force you to take it.
Jesus Christ loves people and doesn’t want anyone to go into the lake of fire, but to be saved from it.
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us;
So you must realize you are on the wrong road headed to hell, and realize that Jesus Christ has made a new road that heads toward Heaven.
4. How to get on that new road to heaven.
1.You must really believe that the Jesus Christ of the Bible alone can save you …
Romans 4:21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
2.You must ask with your mouth, and believe in your heart.
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation
The two conditions of salvation are faith, and repentance.
Faith is believing what the Bible says Jesus did for you, and repentance is turning to Him from everything else you are trusting, or pursuing. Turn to Him alone to save you and take you to Heaven.
Jesus will enter your life if you will just ask him to.
He stands at your hearts door and knocks
Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
If you want to go to heaven when you die, and you believe what the Bible says about Jesus and you want to turn to Him the best you know how , Pray ! Ask Him to give you the gift of salvation, and take you to Heaven.
Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation
Pray something like this :
Lord Jesus , I know I am a sinner, and without you I will go to Hell, so please come into my heart and save me right now, and take me to heaven when I die, I turn to you, and trust you the best I know how to save me, Amen.
