        Mouth

Sometimes my mouth is open,
And a foot it’s looking for.
And then the senses come to life,
And say, “Just close the door”.
Other times the senses,
Can be quite a little bore.
And stupidly refuse to close,
And state whatever for.
Me thinks my mouth is just to eat,
And not hurt others pride.
To chew and not to voice my ill’s,
At every ebb and tide..
Let’s hope my words are caring,
Not hurting others pride.
Cause words come back to haunt me,
In the middle of the night.
Putting people down to bring me up,
Is such a fight.
I open up my mouth to eat,
And everything’s all right.
