The TV

If you cannot span the ocean,

you may walk across the street.

There are strangers in your city

that the lord would like you to meet.

If you cannot get to China,

you may go half a mile,

there are lonesome souls waiting,

for someone’s friendly smile.

If you cannot preach a sermon,

you might warm a bowl of soup,

for some sick or shut in person,

or a child that has the croup.

There are sorrow stricken persons,

and friendless folk on every side,

We may present our master,

if we just put away our pride.

Jesus washed the feet of Peter,

just to teach him humility,

We can serve him in the homeland,

if we can just  cross the sea!
